This is one of my most detailed and successful pastel paintings. The video shows how I used gouache (opaque watercolor) to block in the major shapes. This set down a perfect foundation for the details of the pastel, all done with museum-quality, archival materials. The mat, frame and actual work far surpass the quality I can show on video or with close-up photos. I'm excited to announce at the end of this video where you can see (and buy) the original.
